Association of Reading of Kenya (ARK)
Association of Reading of Kenya (ARK) is a non-profit literacy organization duly registered in Kenya at the Registrar of Societies. ARK was established in 2012 as the local affiliate of the International Reading Association (IRA) under the IRA Service Charter. IRA has since re-branded to International Literacy Association (ILA). At the local and regional level, we endeavour to support and sustain the efforts of ILA in promoting high levels of literacy by: improving the quality of reading instruction; disseminating research and information about reading; and encouraging lifetime reading habits.
